Lendingclub将发行53亿美元新贷款

WithLendingClubnolongerprovidingtimelyupdatesontheirloanbookwewillnotknowexactlyhowmuchtheyissuedin2014forquitesometime.ButIamconfidentthatmy$5.3billionnumberwasoverlyaggressive.Wedoknowthatinthefirstninemonthsof2014LendingClubissued$2.96billioninnewloans.So,eveniftheyhaveabreakoutfourthquarterIexpecttheywillbeunder$4.5billionintotaloriginationsfor2014.

由于Lendingclub不再对其贷款账簿进行阶段性更新，因此我们无法了解该公司在2014年一段时期内的具体放贷金额。但53亿美元的这一预估还是过度乐观。众所周知，在2014年的前9个月，Lending Club实现了29.6亿美元的新贷款。因此，即使他们在第四季度成交量有所突破，我预估他们2014年的成交额将不超过45亿美元。

2.Prosperwillissue$1.1billioninnewloans

Prosper将发行11亿美元新贷款

TheoppositehappenedonmyProsperprediction.Prosper’sgrowthwasfarmorethanI,oranyoneelseforthatmatter,expected.Theyendedtheyearwith$1.6billioninnewloansissuedupfromjust$357millionthepreviousyear.

事实证明，我对于Prosper的预测恰恰相反。Prosper的发展远远超过包括我在内的任何人的预期。相比于前一年3.57亿美元的成交额，去年他们以16亿美元的放贷量收官。

3.GooglelaunchesajointventurewithLendingClubaroundGoogleWallet

谷歌将与Lending Club就谷歌钱包建立合资企业

Iwascompletelywrongonthisone.WhiletheofficialwordisthatGoogleandLendingClubare“workingtogether”todevelopsomethingnotimetablehasbeensetandwemayseenothinghereforquietsometime.

我对此判断失误。尽管官方消息称谷歌和Lending Club将共同合作开发某些项目，但此后动静全无。

4.Mobilebecomeswidespreadforbothonlineconsumerandbusinesslending

手机在网购群体和企业贷款中被广泛传播。

尽管今天说来或许有些夸张，但我仍认为手机的使用在不断推广，尤其是对于贷款方。Prosper董事长RonSuber去年曾谈论过手机策略对于借贷平台的重要性，但这里仍未出现转折点。

5.ProsperwillbeprofitablebyQ32014

Prosper将于2014年第三季度实现盈利

很高兴我的这一判断是正确无误的。Prosper在去年第三季度实现盈利。

IalsopredictedthatLendingClubwouldhaveasuccessfulIPOin2014althoughIexpecteditwasgoingtohappeninthefirsthalfoftheyear.ButgiventhepublicintentionsofLendingClubitwasabitofastretchtocalltheLendingClubIPOanactualprediction.

此外，我曾预测Lending Club或将在2014年成功上市，尽管时间为2014年上半年。但对于公众而言，把LendingClub上市称之为实际预测未免略有夸张。
